Terms & Community Guidelines
1. Platform overview
MeriSocial is a creator growth and social platform operated by Meritwise Enterprises Limited. By creating an account, you agree to these terms in full. MeriSocial connects creators, enables content sharing, creator earnings, and community building.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of Nigeria (or eligible jurisdiction) to create an account. By registering, you confirm you meet these requirements.
3. Accounts and identity
You must provide accurate information. One account per person. Impersonating another person or brand is grounds for immediate removal. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
4. Content standards
You must not post: hate speech, explicit sexual content, violence, harassment, misinformation, or content that violates Nigerian law. MeriSocial reserves the right to remove any content that violates these standards without prior notice. Repeated violations result in permanent account removal.
5. Creator handles and social growth
Submitted handles must be real accounts you own. Fake handles, purchased followers, or bot accounts are strictly prohibited. Use of automation tools or click farms results in permanent banning with no refund.
6. Creator earnings and payouts
Eligible creators receive monthly payouts from a revenue pool funded by platform advertising and promotional income. Eligibility requires: an active Premium subscription, a minimum of 50 Premium followers, 50,000+ impressions in the last 3 months, and zero active strikes. Payouts are calculated proportionally by engagement score. MeriSocial reserves the right to adjust eligibility criteria and pool size. Payouts are disbursed to your linked Meritwise wallet. MeriSocial is not liable for delays caused by wallet activation or third-party payment processors.
7. Subscriptions and payments
Subscriptions are non-refundable and do not auto-renew. When your plan expires, you must purchase a new subscription. Payments are processed securely by Paystack. MeriSocial does not store card details.
8. Advertising and promotions
Sponsored ads and post promotions are subject to review. MeriSocial reserves the right to reject any ad that violates content standards. Ad fees are non-refundable once a campaign goes live. Misleading advertising claims are strictly prohibited.
9. Privacy and data
Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Your public profile, posts, and engagement are visible to other platform members. You grant MeriSocial a non-exclusive license to display your content on the platform.
10. Account suspension and removal
MeriSocial may suspend or permanently remove accounts that violate these terms. Removed members forfeit their remaining subscription time. No refunds are issued for removed accounts. Appeals can be submitted to support within 30 days of removal.
11. Limitation of liability
MeriSocial is provided "as is." We do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Meritwise Enterprises Limited is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform.
12. Changes to terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of MeriSocial after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Major changes will be communicated by email.
